Childhood Memories

I was reading a post on Blissfully Domestic written by Resourceful Mommy today about nostalgic toys and it got me to reminiscing about my favorite toys growing up.

Here's some of the things that I remember playing with as a child of the 70's and 80's:

Rubik's Cube
One Christmas my brother and I each got the other a Rubik's Cube. We were so excited to give them to each other.

Little Professor Calculator
I remember playing with this all the time.

Fashion Plates
These were so much fun!

Milky the Cow
I have no idea why I loved this toy so much.

Scout, Tonto's Horse from the Lone Ranger
I loved anything that had to do with horses and I remember spending hours playing with this horse.

Definitely Dinosaurs
This was all I wanted one Christmas and Santa brought it to me on Christmas Eve. I had a dinosaur obsession too.

The Good Humor Ice Cream Truck Ride On
I have memories of riding this down the sidewalk where we grew up in Northeast Philadelphia.

Oh my! I had Fashion Plates. I remember getting them for Christmas and playing with them over and over. Did this experience make me a fashion plate today? Probably not, but they were great fun. ;)
