That was 8 years ago, and I feel guilty for that every year. But it is so much easier and cheaper to stay at home, especially since my husband's family is so close to us and the kids have cousins to play with while there aren't any cousins on my side.<BR/><BR/>Maybe your family could make some sort of new tradition so you could all get together.<BR/><BR/>I know how you feel about the SIL thing too. My BIL's wife shockingly filed for divorce last month, and it has been hard on the family. They had been married 15 years! So it sucks this year for Christmas.<BR/><BR/>Sorry so long.
